Yokoso Japan association is a Vancouver based no-fee hiring agency specialising in the Japanese market. Our services are dedicated to help you move to and live in Japan. Since we have started we have grown immensely and added some incredible services to our repertoire; the biggest being work placement for English teachers in Japan. We help teachers from around the globe find employment, get a visa and live out their dream in Japan. If you find yourself thinking either of the following:

“I want to be an English teacher!”

Show me how
We will interview you, find a suitable job placement that matches your skill set and experience and then submit your application on your behalf with a letter of reference to the school. This process exponentially increases your chances of having an interview and receiving a job offer.

Finding the right school can be difficult to do yourself. What we recommend above everything else is simply fill out the form on the School section of the Yokoso main page and we will contact you to discuss options. Let us know what your goals, interests and current Japanese level is and we will do the rest. You are also able to view more detailed information of the schools if you click on “More info”.

Yokoso Japan Association can help!

If you want to go to Japan but aren’t sure how, please contact us today. Consultation is free of charge and can be done either in person at our office or online via Skype. We like to work closely with all of our applicants and will tailor our program to suit your needs.

We work in tandem with JP Canada, a school agency bringing Japanese students to Canada. Many schools in Japan are looking for Japanese bilingual teachers: teachers that can speak both Japanese and English fluently. Working together with JP Canada gives Yokoso Japan Association a big advantage that we can pass along to our applicants. Our company consists primarily of Japanese nationals in both our Vancouver and Tokyo offices. We understand how Japanese companies operate and are able to provide quick and accurate feedback to you at any time.

If you are living in the Vancouver, BC (Canada) area, we also have some local services available. One includes free Japanese survival lessons in the evening so you’re prepared and ready to go when you arrive in Japan. Another is Benkyoukai (study night) on Wednesdays where you have a chance to use the Japanese you have learned and meet some Japanese people. This way you can apply what you are learning and also maybe you will be able to make some friends or get some tips about Japanese culture.

Yokoso Japan Association is here for you to help you make your Japanese dreams come true.

Take a look at some things a few of our applicants have said about the schools they are working at after finding employment through Yokoso Japan Association:

Applying to work as a teacher in Japan can be particularly terrifying when you take into account the fact that your only contact comes through Skype. Yokoso helped put a face to that distant entity, enabling me to trust that despite a few hiccups, everything would work out and that they had my best interests in mind. Here I am, almost four months later, taking in an incredible culture and country and I don’t think it would have happened without Yokoso.
 Alex (Canada)
Native English Teacher
English Conversation School
I’m really enjoying my work at the school. We have a spring school these day that makes me busy. My coworkers and boss are nice and helpful, I really like here. The company is big but no concerns so far.
 Lisa (Japan)
Japanese Bilingual Teacher
Children’s School
When I start training, I was so nervous. Everyone speaks English really well and I wasn’t sure if I could show how I feel as easily as everyone else. However this company’s support is really good. If anyone has any type of worry, they are really supportive. Also the children are so nice!! They are really great learners. I’m doing my best at work and I feel like I want to be an even better teacher.
