Hello everyone!! It’s Yumi one of the activity volunteers for Benkyoukai.

Now we enjoy a monthly language exchange group and study our languages with each other.

Since we changed to meeting online, you can participate from anywhere in the world. We are from Canada, Japan, the US and so on.

We meet the first Friday of every month at 5:30 pm in Vancouver, which is the first Saturday of every month at 10:30 am in Japan.

* There was a 30-minute time change with the start of winter.

We had the activity, “What do you want?” this month. Because Canada has Black Friday in November now!! This year’s Black Friday is on the 27th, with big bargains at many stores ahead of the Christmas season.

What do you want this winter?

• The master talks about the characteristics of what he wants.
• Members try to guess the name of what the master wants.
• If one of the members answers correctly, the member wins!

* Please use English for Japanese speakers and Japanese for English speakers.

Example: I’m not good in cold situations. My hands get very cold in winter. I like yarn, so I want something made of it.

日本語：私は寒いのが苦手です。冬は手がとても冷えます。毛糸が好きで、それで作ったものが欲しいな。

Answer: gloves, mittens　手袋（てぶくろ）

In the activity, members guessed what they want, many people said they want some digital devices. I also want a new computer!

During the discussion time, we spent a friendly time with brief self-introductions for those who participated for the first time, and updates for the rest.
